With its inspiring oceanside location, 38,000 sq. ft of flexible convention and trade show space, the centrally located and easily accessible Vancouver Island Conference Centre, is the newest and most desirable location for hosting your next conference. The Conference Center features full wireless access, digital way-finding, and global broadcast capabilities, and will accommodate meetings, conferences and events for up to 1,300 people.

In addition to the conference centre's facilities, delegates and event attendees can access the adjacent 800 seat Port Theatre which is fully equipped for any presentation. The new Nanaimo Museum, located one level below the main function spaces, provides event organizers and attendees a unique venue for receptions and dinners.

In Nanaimo, business mixes naturally with pleasure. The 5km Harbourside Walkway is mere steps from the Centre, a perfect escape from the meeting room for a stroll in the sea air. Spend a day by the shore at the annual Bathtub Boat Race, or take in a scenic tour by boat or float plane, fish, snorkel, dive, kayak, sail, swim, beach comb, rock climb, or golf. Also available are water taxi services to any of the three nearby islands: Protection Island, Newcastle Island, and Gabriola Island.
